We want to grow our brand and need your help doing so. Our mission is to hire newark residents with fashion industry experience and to increase the awareness of fashion made in our hometown.

Our goal is to raise $175,000 to hire local fashion industry experts, purchase equipment, production cost and marketing.

ANE CLOTHIER is owned by Anita Dickens, an African American woman born and raised in Newark NJ.  Anita started her company in 2014 despite the adversities she faced growing up in a single parent household and with four siblings. Anita's interest in fashion sparked at a young age from watching her sister Debbie Marie sew her own own clothes and Anita's high school senior prom gown. Later in life the spark returned and Anita started her own fashion company, ANĒ Clothier.

ANĒ Clothier is inspired by traditional menswear from military to asian fashion design elements. We are taking the approach to creating the new casual through custom designs and ready to wear garments. 

ANĒ Clothier offer concierge services and internship opportunities to at risk youth looking to start their own fashion company 

Our brick and mortar is located in Newark's Central Business and College Hub District. Since COVID-19, our company was hit hard as we were forced to close for several months. As of July 1st we have reopened and fighting everyday to stay open.  Our small business in our community is a place that have been recognized as one of Newark's Fashion Destinations.

We are asking for donations to help us stay open and help us grow because not all loans and grant opportunities apply to a one woman owned and one woman operated business. We want to hire fashion experts in our community with your help. Any amount is welcomed. 

Our day-to-day operations has become an immense balancing justification and the need to hire more assistance, purchase commercial equipment and develop marketing strategies.
